AN EASY WAY TO UPDATE YOUR GLASS

How Does Decorative Window Film Work?

Decorative window film is a thin material applied to a suitable glass surface to change its appearance. Depending on the design, it can create a frosted effect, introduce a pattern or provide selected areas of visual screening.

Unlike replacing a window with specially manufactured decorative glass, applying film can offer a way to update existing glass. The result depends on the film selected, the condition of the glass and the quality of installation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wow, why didn't we have window film tint protection installed when we bought this property!? It's excellent in protecting from sunlight and giving more privacy. And looks really good too! And the service from the Out of the Sun team was exceptional. Very professional and friendly, giving the right advice on what works best for our windows. A big thank you to Antwan and Belinda, together with the support from Peter. Highly recommend!

Great job by Out of the Sun Spain ! The entire process was done via WhatsApp remotely, with the help of our keyholder. The reflective solar window film reduces the temperature in our apartment where we don't need as much AC, even when its 36c outside. We can also enjoy the view, without having to keep the blinds down all the time. We chose the reflective Silver film which looks great from the outside as well, providing total privacy during the daylight hours. I would highly recommend "Out if the Sun Spain"

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. To tackle our glazed covered roof terrace overheating challenges, we did some research and found Peter and his team. They responded quickly to my message and quickly and efficiently we were given advice and options along with recommendations. Just how it should be.

We took Peter’s advice and within a week or so (which was much faster than we hopef it might be) his experienced fitting team arrived. Within 3 hours alll our windows were fitted with solar film (we chose Titanium as the best balance product for our needs) which has undoubtedly reduced all rooms from overheating. Wonderful.

The film also gives increased privacy, which in a townhouse can be useful.

Good product - does exactly what it is meant to. Peter and the team are very professional and good communicators. We are pleased we chose this route over replacing our existing windows. A big thanks to Peter and the team.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the anti sun and UV film fitted to all our large south facing windows. Best thing we ever did. The difference inside the house was noticeable immediately, when the summer heat kicks in it's going to be invaluable. I found the company to be well organised and communicative. I would definitely recommend them.

We opted for the Silver 20 XTR film in our living room window where we wanted to limit the hot bright sun but still maintain our fantstic view from the inside. We notice a big difference in heat transferred into the apartment and a more subdued sunlight. The room is definitely less bright than and we have to turn our lights on sooner in the day, but that is a very minor price to pay for the advantages. We plan on getting the same film for the other big windows facing the same way.
I can't recommend the installers enough. All communication was prompt and accurate and there was very little waiting time from order to installation.
The installers did a fabulous job, I have not found any defect after two weeks. Everyone spoke very good english which made all communication so much easier.

The sun beats down on a sleepy little town up in the hills of Mijas. What can be found to soften the heat? Out of the sun in Spain does it complete. Windows washed, film applied, and in short time dried. Beautiful views, little to lose, except the load of the heat! Windows measured, and high end reflective and IR blocking film installed, as luck would have it, this company does it all! Seriously and less poetically, a darn good job with pleasant people! How could you ask for anything more? We highly recommend and would do it again!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We began researching window film a few months ago and found Out of the Sun online, checked their website, which was very detailed and informative. We did find some other suppliers, however we were drawn to out of the sun because of the fact they gave us all the information we needed. After contacting Peter he sent us the brochure and we exchanged messages resulting in a recommendation for the type of cover we needed, which was for silver XTR 20 and quoted us for the work. We agreed a date and at the appointed time and date Twan, the fitter arrived. He was extremely professional in his approach and he completed the work to our satisfaction. He was an interesting guy and appears to have been doing this work for many years. The quality of his work reflected his experience. He provided all the information we needed and tidied and cleared up once the work was done. The one thing that we did have some concerns about was the service charge, which we understood covered travel as they are located a considerable distance away. As two jobs were completed on the same day in our town it, perhaps would have been nice to have seen a reduction in the final bill as I am sure the other customer also paid the same charge. However this has not detracted from our experience and we have noticed a significant reduction in the temperature in the area that was treated as it faces due south and is in the sun all day. We are now able to use the room on a daily basis without burning our bits off. We are already planning to have other windows covered by Out of The Sun and in my view there can be no better recommendation of their work. Thanks guys and we will be in touch again soon. Wow - Such a difference !

Almost immediately we noticed the difference in the room temperature once the window film had been installed. We had been unable to use our sun room for over 8 weeks due to the intense heat coming in through the windows. Now it's as though the living room and sun room are one and we can enjoy sitting there on the hottest of days for our meals and recreation (board games, reading, etc.) The reduction in the temperature is incredible and we wish we had known about this solar tint sooner ! We also like the mirrored effect seen from outside.

The technician was very professional; he arrived on time, was polite and respected
our home.

We are absolutely delighted with the finished result Peter, and are very happy to recommend your company.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Decorative Window Film FAQs

Find answers to common questions about decorative film for bathrooms, offices and other glass surfaces.

What is decorative window film?

Decorative window film is a thin film applied to suitable glass to change its appearance. Designs can include frosted effects, stripes, patterns and other decorative finishes.

Can decorative window film be used in bathrooms?

Yes, suitable decorative films can be used on many bathroom windows and compatible glass surfaces. The selected film and glass should be checked for suitability, particularly in wet or humid areas.

Can decorative film be installed on office glass partitions?

Many suitable films can be applied to office partitions and internal glazed doors. Decorative bands or patterns can help create visual privacy in meeting rooms and shared workspaces.

Will decorative window film block natural light?

Light transmission varies by film and design. Some options allow substantial daylight through the glass, while denser patterns or opaque films provide a different effect.

Does decorative window film provide privacy at night?

Privacy depends on the specific film, lighting and viewing conditions. Some decorative films obscure direct views, but they should not automatically be considered complete privacy solutions in every situation, particularly at night.

How much does decorative window film cost?

The cost depends on the chosen design, the size of the glass and the installation requirements. Contact us with photos and approximate measurements to request a quotation.

Can decorative film be installed on any glass?

Not every film is suitable for every glass type or application. We recommend checking the glass, its condition and the intended use before choosing a film.

Where do you install decorative window film?

Out of the Sun in Spain serves customers across Málaga, Granada, Almería, Murcia and Alicante provinces, subject to project location and installation arrangements.
