The choice between Interior- and Exterior Installation of solar window film !

Choosing between interior and exterior solar window film depends mainly on your type of glass and how much heat you want to block. For standard windows, including most single and double-pane glass, interior film is usually the best choice—it’s more affordable, easy to maintain, and still provides good heat and glare reduction.

However, for reinforced or thickened glass, as well as sliding doors and large windows, exterior film is strongly recommended. These types of glass can trap heat more easily, and installing the film on the outside helps stop the sun’s energy before it enters, reducing the risk of heat buildup and improving performance. In short: use interior film for regular windows, but choose exterior film for larger, thicker, or more heat-sensitive glass.
